What a bunch of jerks. I don't even bother calling first. I just go directly to Rite aid or Wall mart pharmacy and ask. If your there in person and in their face then they will be more likly to do it.
Rite-Aid is open on Sundays but only til 5.
I called two pharmacies - the only ones open on sunday are cvs chains. One was just rude. The other told me to go to the ER. Paying retail for a couple of pills is no big deal but the bill for the ER is too much. I told them about the empty bottle and all the details of my situation and this is it. Perhaps it is because they are a chain. I'll keep looking. But if anyone has either advise as to how to get a couple of pills or a homeopathic solution, please let me know.
Try not to panic. I think all of us that take AD medication have at some point found ourselves out of medication. I ran out of my AD meds for 3 days once and I'm still kicking. It's not fun, but it won't kill you either.
I know it's Sunday, but there are a lot of Pharmacies that keep Sunday hours. Find one that's open and bring your empty bottle there. If you do not yet have a new script from your Doc for a refill then ask to talk to the pharmisist, (NOT the assistant)
Calmly explain that you have not had the chance to get a refill prescribed from your doctor and that your completly out of Zoloft. Let them know you will be seeing your doc for a refill on Monday or Tuesday and ask them if you can just pay cash for 6 100Mg tablets. This will be enough Zoloft to get you thru a couple days until you can get to your Doc for a new script.
99% of Pharmacies will do this with SSRI medication as long as you have the empty bottle which shows them that you are taking the medication.
There is a good chance that after the 2nd day without your Zoloft, that you will start to experience some pretty nasty withdrawl symptoms. Skip one day and no sweat, but 2 or three days and you can start to get sick.
