possible AD change

Hi Folks! I'm on Celexa 20mg 1pill daily and have possible tolerance to it. Wondering if my Doc. dont raise the dose and change the med. completely what might he put me on?. Is there something i should watch out for as far as AD med?. I never been on AD before so i'm very new at this.Any info on this would be great. Thanks, F1swede

Doc put me on 40mg Celexa once daily been on it almost a week. How long would it take until i feel better?. I was on 20mg once daily so asking if the 40mg would take effect quicker ?. When started on Celexa it took about 1month before i felt better is this going to be the case?. Thanks, f1swede

Yup that has happened to me, I've been on a multitude of anti depressants. Your doctor could up the medication or switch. Is this a psychiatrist or a GP? I can't guess. The other option is if its a pdoc is to augment the meds with another med. if you don't have a pdoc, you should get one, they are experts in these medications.

Been on Celexa approx. 8-10 months and they dont see to do the job anymore. I did post a thread on here before and got some good answers regarding tolerance. I been feeling really down the last 2weeks alot like before i went on AD. I go in to my Doc. on thursday just wanted to know what they usually do if the current med is not working. Do they raise the dose or will they change me to something different. Wanted to know if someone had something like this happen. I had a tough time with some of the AD meds and found Celexa work best for me as far as side effects. Just worried about how i feel right now. Thanks, F1swede

Hi Swede,
How long have you been on Celexa? Why do you think you have an intolerance to it?
What symptoms do you have. I think it would help a lot to get that info. Have you spoken to your doctor?
