sleeping schedule switc

for the last three years i have been treated for a very severe depression, i think i tried every medication there is, the only one that some how worked for me is soloft, unfortunately it works for a month or so and then stops working which i tried three times so i have not been depressed for about three month in the last three years, and i am talking about not being able to leave my bed or take a shower for a month at a time.
Lately i switch my sleeping habits, i wake up at midnight, have dinner, take 100 mg of soloft, 800 mg of sam-e, 1000 mcg of b12 vitamin, ginko bilova 24% and 1000 mg of fish oil, at 7 am i take a shower and i go to an AA meeting, (i am an alcoholic that stop drinking four years ago).
After that i do some work and i go to sleep at 3 in the afternoon after i take another dosage of medicine.
at midnight i star over.
i do not really understand why or how but i feel much better and i have been able to work every day.

It's being a couple of month, and yes i have run it by my doctor, he said that was ok but to watch for mania which i had to watch for anyway because of de zoloft, a couple years ago when i tried zoloft i could not eat, i lost 40# in two weeks, i was sleeping 1 hour a day it was terrible, but the doctor that i used to see at that time had me in 300 mg which i understand now it was a little to high

Have you been taking the sam-e long?  I have read that you have to be careful of serotonin syndrome if you take sam-e with and antidepressant.  It might also stand to reason that it's giving you and extra serotonin boost.  You might run it by your doctor if you haven't already.

Glad you're feeling better.
