still dizzy after quitting Zoloft

by juniorfan32, Jul 16, 2007 01:54PM
A week ago I quit taking my zoloft.  Well I have been having short dizzy spells since getting off of it.  I had these same spells when getting off of Lexapro.  I feel better off of zoloft but the dizzy spells are crazy.  I also have PVCs which seem much worse now too.  I don't want to restart the zoloft because I enjoy having my sex drive back but the dizziness is driving me nuts.  Does it eventually go away?

the dizzy spells will go away but it takes time. The dizzy spells are withdrawl symtoms.I had those dizzy spells last for over a month but after a while they will stop.

I quit taking prozac and wellbutrin 18 days ago, I was so exhausted all the time that I didn't stay up long enough to get dizzy.  After day about 14 I started feeling better.  I have done more in the last two days than I have in the past 30.  From my experience, take it easy, very easy.  If your depression has not returned, wait it out.

they switched me to Effexor which i hated then to zoloft.  But if I didn't take it for a few days I would get dizzy from it too.  Wish I had never started this stuff, so hard to get off of.  I had to get back on my Zoloft cuz I couldn't take the dizziness anymore.  I have a 4 year old, I don't have time to slow down on account of dizziness.

I am so sick of seeing the bathroom scale creeping up.  I am on Zoloft.  Tried several others and none
are better or worse.  No emotion, no energy but sure am gaining weight! 30 lb on a 5 ft. frame is not
good.  Neighbor down the street is on Zoloft too and has gained 30 lb.  It really helps knowing y'all are
out there going through the same thing.  Misery loves company..  Sure want to try life on my own terms
without assistance of pills.
