If I had to guess I would have to say it's the Remeron that is causing this.

I took Effexor for many years and it never made me sweat, but when I dropped the Effexor for the Tri-cyclic Nortriptilyne.... OMG! This Nortrip makes me sweat like an absolute pig! Remeron is a Tetra-cyclic AD and is more closly related to the Tri-cyclic Nortiptilyne so my bet is that it's the Remeron causing this and not the Effexor.

Do you also find that your much less tolerent to heat? Do you also sweat much more during the day even if it's just a little warm outside? I'm like a human furnace since taking this stuff. I blast the air conditioning all day and night and it's driving my wife nuts.

If this med didn't work so well at controling my depression, then I would stop taking it.

This is common.  I had the same problem with Effexor.  If the doctor isn't listening to your concerns, maybe it's time to find a new one.  I mean, is the Effexor helping your depression?  If it's not helping and you're having this side effect, I don't see why a doctor would keep you on it.
