Hi MY mom is 61 yrs old yes she takes nexium she has ulcertive colitas, and divaticolitas.she went through her changes at 45 yrs old.now she is 61.thankyou for helping me .alwayswithme.
Not related to depression but possibly to meds.
I don't know of any one test that can determine imbalances. Maybe you could post a new question on this forum asking if anyone knows of any. An endocrinologist would be able to determined some imbalances with blood and saliva tests. How old is your Mom? Hormonal imbalances associated with peri-menopause can cause a host of symptoms inclucing anxiety and depression.
This thread caught my eye because I had a wierd experience of itching a few years ago. It was deep under my skin in my abdomen, but not in my stomach. It just went away after a while. It's probably a stretch, but sometimes sensations are hard to identify. What feels like tingling to one person can be like burning to another. Since from what you say it's in the actual stomach could it be from acid? She may have already tried an antacid but if not it probably can't hurt...just a thought.
Hi how are you?My mom has had antihstamine she says doesnt work they would give her benadryl that doesnt come close.always thought maybe it could be Chemical imbalances how would you know if you have Chemical imbalances .Do you know how they test you for that? thankyou so much ALWAYSWITHME,
Hi No my mom isnt taking that her itching is inside in her stomache that it moves around i have tried everything and it always comes back normal.I dont know what to do anymore im so tired.i appreciate all your help and advice let me know if you come across anything ok thankyou ALWAYSWITHME.
I just want to add that scratching releases histamines within the body. So sometimes the itching will actually get worse by scratching it. Opiate use also causes itching. Have you tried taking an antihstamine for the itching? Chemical imbalances can cause a host of symptoms and who know if itching isn't one of them. Every body is different.
I have some very unusual and bizar symptoms associated with my depression, but itching was never one of them. Your not taking an Opiate are you? They can cause an under the skin itch.
