my boyfriend was put on celexa was really giving him bad sie effects dr told him to stop
taking been on it over 30 days i dont think he should just stop how can i ween him off?

Typically medications such as Celexa are taper medications meaning that they simply taper off. He should be just fine to simply stop taking it. However, if you feel that he needs to be on a different medication or should not just stop, have him talk to his doctor about getting on a lower dosage.Best of luck!

After 1 month of using the drug the serotonin reuptake inhibition as just started taking effect so I would expect terrible withdrawal symptoms if any at all. The side effects he his getting right now could be far worst than the withdrawal symptoms and therefore this is why the doctor suggested quitting cold turkey.
