xanax

I take Effexor and xanax.  Should I take the xanax as needed or by the directions 1 tab 3 times a day.  My doc said whatever works best for me.  What do you do?

That was the problem with me--the "only when needed" became more and more often. Then the dosage wasn't enough... and then the "only when needed" became all day.

Personally I try and lay off of it. I have the perscription, and when my anxiety is to bad I take it, but other than that a hot bath or a couple of ibu will help.
