Hi. Most post-acne marks are superficial and fade within one year. Applying Bio-oil or Palmers Cocoa Butter scar serum can help. Clinique also make a post-blemish formula which speads up the healing process and discourages future blemishes.
If your scarring is more serious than this, good results can be achieved from microdermabrasion or laser treatment. Check out the acne forum for more information. Loiloi xx

Hi Tejaswita,
How are you feeling?
What kind of you Acne you have? What is your complete diagnosis?
I assume it is Acne comedonica. They are open and closed comedones on the face, chest, and back.
The cause or pathogenesis appears to be accumulation of corneocytes in the follicular
infundibulum, producing a spherical dermal papule; cause unknown but may involve stimulation of the follicular lining and sebaceous duct by exogenous compounds, an endogenous hormonal stimulus, or a neurologic stimulus.
Initially you can try Tretinoin cream 0.025%, tazarotene 0.1%; adapalene 0.1% gel; benzoyl peroxide 5% gel; azelaic acid 20% cream; salicylic acid 1–2% cream or gel; alpha hydroxy acid preparation; trichloroacetic acid 10–20% peel.
You can visit a Dermatologist as to which treatment is suitable for you.
Keep me informed if you have any queries.
Bye.
