Itchy Skin

My skin is itchy. Specially at night. I said this to my mom. She said may be your sugar is high because she saw my pee it was so bubbling. But i doubt it was scabies. But no rashes at all. But still itchy. Even in my lips sometimes i felt itchy there. Even in my balls. Then Today i felt itchy right in to my left shoulder. I put anti-fungal cream. It gone. And even at night i take anti-histamine to control the itchiness.  Others said may be it's an skin allergy? Please help me.

Hello,
Get the possibility of scabies ruled out by getting the investigations mentioned above done. The other possibility is of parasthesia skin. Chronic paresthesia indicates a problem with the functioning of neurons.
Parasthesias are common in alcoholics and metabolic disorders like diabetes, hypothyroidism, and hypoparathyroidism. They can also be due to peripheral vascular disease, vitamin B12 deficiency or malnutrition.

Get your blood sugar and thyroid hormones levels evaluated. You can take some vit B12 for some days and see if the crawling sensation is gone or not.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Hello,
From the sites of itch, it is less likely to be scabies. Rash in scabies is usually found in the folds of skin and they are red blister like rashes. it can be due to allergic reaction, hives or insect bites. Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin and apply some calamine lotion on the rash. If the symptoms persist then please get it examined from a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
