19 month old, red rash around mouth

Hi, my 19 month old daughter has a red rash around her mouth that seems to be getting worse a little at a time rather than clearing up. It started in March, on the bottom right corner of her mouth after she had had some ketchup with her dinner that sat a little too long on her face before it got wiped off. We have tried a few different things such as Rosebud Salve, Neosporin, Cortaid, and a little Aquaphor today. They all seem to help slightly, but it has now spread around her mouth. This also all started about a week after I quit nursing her. Do you think she may be allergic to milk? Or is it just a rash, and will eventually go away on its own? Thank you for your help!

The symptoms that your daughter is having sounds like perioral dermatitis.
Perioral dermatitis is a chronic papulopustular and eczematous facial dermatitis.Treatment consists of oral antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. A mild soap or soap substitute, such as Dove or Cetaphil should be used for washing. Scrubbing should be avoided.
If the symptoms are not controlled by topical antibiotics,then oral antibiotics may be needed.Pls consult your dermatologist and discuss this with them.
