Abrasion on penis frenulum

Abrasion on penis frenulum

About 2 weeks ago I masturbated and the day after I felt a sting on my penis whenever it rubbed up against my clothing.  I took a look at it and it looked a little red so I began to apply Neosporin to it.  Note: I am a virgin and have never been sexually active.  Nor is there any bleeding from the frenulum.  The Neosporin helped a bit, but the soreness was still there so 2 days ago I went to the Dr.'s office.  He looked at it and said that there is a mild brasion on the frenulum and he prescribed Bactroban.  The soreness is healing a bit, but it's still sore.  About how long does it take for this to fully heal?  And is it possible that this is actually a fungal infection that had nothing to do with my masturbating?

Hello,
It looks like chafing skin. Keep on applying the bactroban and wear cotton undergarments. Application of mild corticosteroid cream and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
