free-up and I can move around decently (but I don't dare stop). I think that maybe the movement of walking is pushing fluid out of my ankles.
While this means that I can walk (I couldn't for more than a few steps for the first couple of days), an inability to stand still makes riding public transportation, using the restroom, and working difficult. I happen to fall into a nifty insurance gap in that I make too much for state support and free clinics but thanks to bills, the only insurance I can afford is almost as bad as no insurance at all--can't make it to a doctor. Does anybody have any thoughts? Benedryl? Aspirin and rest (it got somewhat better)? Cortisone cream? Aloe doesn't help the deep stuff and the swelling.
Bear in mind--I know it's not something I stepped in (my toes and the edges of my feet, covered in wet sand, were fine, it looks like I'm wearing purple spats).
