My doc prescribed Atopiclair and i want to know if any one has used it.
Hello,
Apart from steroids which is basic treatment for eczema, topical emmolients to prevent moisture loss from the skin can be used because Eczema can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. If the eczema is more severe, phototherapy (a type of treatment that uses light therapy) or systemic (circulates throughout the body) medication like oral steroids may be prescribed but they are not used in children.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
my fiance's son has ezcema and he has the steroid creams but he doesn't like him to use it. So he got him a lotion that doesn't contain alcohol in it because it burned him. i didn't even know that there was alcohol in some lotions. I believe he was using a lotion from Jergens and it seems to work well. Hope this helps.
My son's ezcema reacted really well to a cream called Dermol. It is an emollient with an antibacterail.
