Big bump near anus

Hi I have had a bump on my butt near my anus for a couple of years now, never worried about it because when I got into the army I had to take a physical. The doctor saw it and said it was something but I can't remember what the word was all I remember is it started with an L... So now the other day I was sitting down and when I got up I noticed my underwear were wet, I checked it out and it appeared my bump popped. I squeezed out alot of pus and liquid from it but then saw that blood started to form so then I stopped. It used to be kinda hard and now it's all mushy( the bump), so I was wondering if you could tell me what it was or is?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms it can be a cyst, fissure or hemorrhoid or some benign skin lump. Hemorrhoids are varicosities and inflammation of veins in the rectum and anus. They are caused and increased by increased straining during bowel movements, by constipation or diarrhea, hypertension, obesity, excessive consumption of alcohol or caffeine and portal hypertension.

I suggest you to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Could be either a hemorrhoid or polyp, which are common and nothing to be too concerned about, especially if the doctor saw it and didn't suggest treatment. Chances are it is healing now that it has popped.  I would suggest a healing agent like aloe to speed up the process and prevent itching, but I suppose that depends where exactly it is on your skin.  Whatever you decide, be gentle and try not to aggravate the healing process. If you are still concerned, go back to the doc and get his/her advice.
