Brown dots around healing wound

A couple weeks back, I was in a bike accident and ended up getting a couple quarter sized wounds on my elbow and knee. A few days after the wounds healed up and stopped seeping fluid, brown dots started to form around my wound, and I am wondering what these were and if I should be worried. I made sure to put neosporin on the wounds everyday. I hope this is in the right forum, I am new. Here is a picture

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
There is nothing to worry as it can be due to normal signs of wound healing. If the brown spots persist then post inflammatory hyperpigmentation should be ruled out.

The treatment for post inflammatory hyperpigmentation includes various skin creams like hydroquinone, azelaic acid, corticosteroids, tretinoin cream and laser treatment.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

OP here, note that the dot I'm talking about isn't the dark brown dot easily visible in the picture, it's the lesser visible dots around the wound.
