Brown freckles like pigmentation on labia

Hi,
    I noticed I have these pigmented spots on my labias. They look like brown freckles, they aren't raised or bleeding, just like pigments.....I went to the gyno and had my pap smear, she didn't seem to concerned and said they weren't cancerous. I've been tested for HPV and STI's and I am negative. I am really nervous about them. I am thinking they are  post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation? And if that is the case, what should I do to for it.

From the symptoms it can be due to labial melantoic macule. It is a small, sharply circumscribed, pigmented macule surrounded by normal-appearing skin.

I would recommend a dermatologist’s consultation for this.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. Did you find out anymore of these causes? I know this post is quite old but I have the same thing!
