Worried about skin cancer

I've had this dry spot on my face for many years and it seems to be getting larger.  it's rougher in texture.  it does not bleed and looks sorta harmless.  i think i was told it was just eczema but it never goes away and is only in that one spot.  i've included pictures.  it's right below my eye if you can't tell.  i'm 33 years old.

Hi Vanessa,

I'm not sure if you suspect this is something or not?  The spot has been there for about 3 years.  It use to be smaller and I think more tan in color.  It was always rough.  but to be honest, I'm not sure how much it has changed.  I've been using proactive which has an exfoliant.  I'm not sure if it irritated it or not.  At the moment, I do not have health insurance but I should be getting it within the next couple of months.  I was hoping it could wait until then but of course it does worry me.  I saw a few pictures of precancerous lesions or actinic keratoses on line and read the descriptions which sound and look similar.  Perhaps I am too worried.  Is there such a thing as a singular dry patch that is harmless and does not go away?  Thank you for getting back to me.

Hi

Yes. The affected area appears to be skin colored, a bit shiny in character. I do not see any redness, blisters, swelling or crusting. I know you are worried about this. I suggest that you have this assessed by an internist so that a complete physical examination and assessment be done. If the diagnosis remains elusive, I would suggest a biopsy so that the right management be given. This has been present for years and aside from getting larger, it has not really changed in character or appearance, is this correct?
