Bumps around lip

every now and then i get a single bump either under or above my lip. the bump is not actually on the lip itself. sometimes it is red and itchy wit a lil burn sensation if touched. i noticed that if i dont touch it it becomes less itchy and has a chance of going away but other times it gets big and noticable i use alcohol or abreva and it can help but it takes a while and always leave a scar or discoloration. i did some research and thought it might be fever blisters or cold sores but its not a group of bumps but only one single bump if any one has any ideas on how i can stop this from happeneing or what exactly it is please let me know.

Without examination,confirmation of a diagnosis is tough,but it can be due to perioral dermatitis. Perioral dermatitis is a chronic papulopustular and eczematous facial dermatitis.Treatment consists of oral antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. A mild soap or soap substitute, such as Dove or Cetaphil should be used for washing. Scrubbing should be avoided.

If the symptoms are not controlled by topical antibiotics,then oral antibiotics may be needed.Pls consult your dermatologist and discuss this with them.
