Bumps on my face

I develped small bumps on my nose and cheek area,Iwent to see a dermatologist and was told they were cysts caused by spongy bodies that became hard and rose to the surface if removed they would leave holes in my face. Is this true? Are there any other solutions that can help remove this ugly bumps on my face that make me feel like an old crone with warts on the tip of my nose.

From the symptoms this sounds like a sebaceous cyst. They may occur anywhere on body but scalp, ears, back, face, and upper arm, are common sites for sebaceous cysts. Blocked sebaceous glands, swollen hair follicles and excessive testosterone production will cause such cysts.

Generally no treatment other than applying warm compresses is required but they become painful then it means they are infected, then surgical excision by traditional wide excision, minimal excision, and punch biopsy excision may be required.
