all began AFTER I began using a free tube of medicated lip balm that I had recieved during a golf outing. As my problem began getting worse, I continued to use it more and more. I was even tried using "different" brands, hoping to get it under control. Eventually it got to the point where I had to reflect on the changes that I had made in my diet and lifestyle. I concluded that the use of this particular "medicated, flavored" lip balm was indeed the cause. I decided to self medicate with "plain" vasoline. After 2 weeks my lips went back to normal. I don't know exactly what chemical caused the irritation, but I do know that it was in the medicated, flavored lip balm..... I understand what you all are going through..... In my opinion, the answer is in your "Lip Lifestyle" and not necessarily in your diet.
