Hello,
From the symptoms it does not sound like herpes. Herpes appears as one or more blisters on or around the genitals or rectum. The blisters break, leaving tender ulcers (sores) that may take two to four weeks to heal the first time they occur.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
I AM MOST DEFINITELY EXPERIENCING THE SAME THING--THE OOZING IS WHAT GOT ME THE MOST...ITS ALMOST LIKE ONE FORGOT TO RINSE THE SOAP FROM IN BETWEEN THE UPPER THIGH AND SCROTUM... MY SCROTUM IS NOT RED, DUE TO MY PIGMENTATION BUT DEFINITELY THE FOLDS ARE PRESENT AS WELL AS THE ITCHING... ARE THERE ANY NATURAL METHODS TO COUNTER THIS OUTBREAK...I DO BELIEVE THAT MY FOOT FUNGUS HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THIS OUTBREAK. I AWAIT YOUR RESPONSE DOC.
Dr. Kaur - Thank you so much for your response. I know u can't dx over the net but let me ask you: have you run into this burning red scrotum syndrome before and do you think it could be caused by herpes? The general medical community seems to think "no". Just wondering your experience / opinion on that point. Thanks again and I will keep you posted.
Hello,
From your symptoms it can be intertrigo or atopic dermatitis. An intertrigo is an inflammation (rash) of the body folds. It most commonly occurs due to bacterial, viral or fungal infection. An intertrigo usually appears red and raw-looking, and may also itch, ooze, and be sore. To confirm the diagnosis you need to get it examined from a dermatologist as treatment is specific for all. Maybe your dermatologist may take a small biopsy sample from the lesions.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
OK, one last time. Anyone, anyone? Bueller, Bueller?
Does anybody have any insight / advice on this topic at all?
