black spot

i have a black spot in my neck i was wondering if anybody else has had it or could tell me what it is i know its not dirt or anything like that everyday i take a shower and scrub my neck really hard until it hurts can anybody help

Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be a mole,freckle,seborrheic keratosis(a non-cancerous benign skin growth that originate in keratinocytes and like liver spots, are seen more often as people age),solar lentigo(dark (hyperpigmented) lesion caused by natural or artificial ultraviolet (UV) light) or melanoma(chances are rare).
I feel that an examination by a dermatologist will be the best. Without examination,it is very difficult to say anything.
