My daughter got chicken pox last month, and she's been left with 4 crater-like scars on her faceFace pain. I'm worried they'll stay for life. They are not particularly dark, but indented. She didn't seem to scratchAllergy skin prick or scratch test Allergy testing her pox at all, though, during the illness or after. Is there anything I can do to prevent permanent scarring? Is it already too late?
I got chicken pox myself from her, and my pox seemed to be much worse than hers. I'm left with no scars, though. I wish I had been left with the scars, rather than her. I feel terribly guilty for not vaccinating her in time (I was about to, but had to postpone due to work commitments). Again, please let me know if there is anything I can do to heal the scars. Thanks very much indeed for your help.
Chicken pox marks may take several weeks to clear up. Usually, marks on the face heals faster than other parts of the body. Scarring usually depends on the depth of the lesion. Creams with Vitamin E may help. You can also have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation of the lesion.
Take care and keep us posted.
