Chigger bite scar down there?

Ok, so I live in tx, last year I had gotten bit by chiggers crazy bad. They were all over me below the waist and I had three on my private, due to the insane itch, I popped them, now I have scars that look like moles in their place, is that normal? I haven't been sexually active for a few years, about a year before that to now, so I'm doubtful of an std, so did my sweat infect the bites or something, because I don't usually scar from chigger bites on other places of my body.
