Cimetidine?

Hello,

My 5 year old has very large warts on his fingers, ( mainly around the cuticle area, 4 on one thumb cuticle !! ) and his paediatrician and I have tried everything to treat them over a period of a year and a half.

His paediatrician refered us to a dermatologist who even prescribed the 2% Diphencyprone in Vaselin (applied by his doctor ) to fight them off, but they just kept getting bigger!

So now, my son was prescribed Cimetidine, 10ml twice daily for a 3 month trial. The dermatologist said he's not sure why this works, but it does.

After only 1 month of the trial my son's warts are almost gone and his cuticles are back to normal .......I'm amazed and relieved that his discomfort is gone!!

Is there any information on how or why the Cimetidine works???
