MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Coccidiomycosis is an opportunistic infection caused in immunocompromised patients like HIV but it is not compulsory that a patient having coccidiomycosis will be definitely HIV positive.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Coccidioidomycosis is from a fungus in the soil.  It has nothing to do with AIDS except that a person with AIDS has a damaged immune system and can catch anything easier.
