laser can help. rosacea does not always come with those bumps though it does come and go in the sun, when you eat certain foods or get stressed. there are several triggers actually.
thx for the reply. is there anything i try first, before trying laser treatment.
sunscreen, avoid heat, red wine and things that make it worse.
a doctor prescribed ointment... there are alot of options.
ok thx, i have just bought some fade away cream, for facial redness, so i will see how this goes.
over the counter fade creams will not work for redness. redness is caused by your vascular system. that means blood, like capillaries. you can't treat that with topical cream and may actually end up more red if it has bleach in it. (hydroquinone)
are there ingredients listed anywhere? it's probably not going to help or hurt your cause either way. for the price you paid it is most likely just basically a lotion. you'll be nice and moisturized :)
just pay very close attention to your skin, see if it changes at all after the first use. if it burns, itches or feels at all weird stop immediately and wash your face with mild soap and water
ok ty, would it be best if i saw my doctor. Maybe they can diagnose of roseca or not, and give me the appropiate treatment.
Thx

well an idea just came to me. If its to do with capillaries. If i were to apply an ice pack, lets say to my cheeks every day for a prolonced period of time. Then do u think that my body to adapt to send less blood to the capillaries on my cheeks. Its just a theory. Because i find that during the winter my cheeks are less red. Even after running if its very cold and there is no direct sunlight i do not get very red on my cheeks. Plz tell me if its worth trying.
Thx
it may help, but just until your face warms back up. which would be within a matter of minutes, and holding ice directly on your skin for prolonged amounts of time can cause nerve damage.
ok thx for all your help chellybeans, i think i will save my money for a photofacial, seems to be best
your welcome and good luck :)
I have the same problem with red cheeks. I've had it for as long as I can remember. I also do not believe it's rosacea. I went to a dermatologist and she prescribed some crazy meds that cost around $100.00 per month. No way I can afford that. I just deal with my red face. It's pretty embarrassing though, because people will say things like, "Oh look, she's embarrassed, her face is turning red...etc..." people have no shame. I know how you feel. I can't control it either and it turns red for things it shouldn't. My kids both have the same coloration on their faces and I believe it's genetic. I do believe it's the capillaries in your face that cause it to turn red. Good luck with the laser treatment! I'm 26 and still dealing with it.
i am 15 and have the same exact thing and all of these creams these dermatologists have prescribed have done nothing to help should i consider laser surgery?
Once in a while I'll get red, bumpy, burning cheeks. How could I get rid of it? In 13 & so embarrassed of my skin. Also how could I get rid of my wrinkly hands. I always cry of embarrassment. Thx.
