Cysts

I had a cyst removed on my face next to my nose by a plastic surgeon only 10 months ago I now have another in the same region. Went to GP and was advised to have removed surgically again. Im concerned by the scarring as the first one has not faded yet and also the procedure is not pleaseant and what is the point if they are going to keep coming back. I asked GP is there any meds worth trying, she said nothing but surgery will remove them. I now must decide wether the lump is worse than the scar. Has anyone tried meds and had success.

Cysts are a pain in the ***... Im just about to have a big cyst removed on my face but am worried it will be for nothing, (or at least to have to go for a short period)
I think it can be taken out, but the surgeon need to be very good with the way he pulls it out... Not leaving any of the sack behind
I think its a matter of crossing your fingers and praying the doctor pulls the sack out without pearcing the exterior of it or leaving any remaining...
Im hoping the fella that does me does it well, but i have my doubts
i hope things go alright for you.. at least in todays day and age scaring can be minimiesd with lazer treatments and so forth...

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi

Were they able to give you a definite diagnosis on what this cyst is?

Were they able to do a biopsy on the cyst?

For cystic growths, there is always the chance of recurrence. Cysts are fluid filled scars or capsules and they may recur given time. There are less invasive ways of treating a cyst eg drainage or aspiration .However, in your case, the cyst is found in the nose or in the nasal cavity (is this correct). The area here is small and if the cyst or any growths expand, the  nasal cavity is usually bony. Definitive treatment is usually surgical removal.
