Dermatitis

I was prescribed CLOBETASOL PROPIONATE FOAM recently.

After I apply my impression is that I'm supposed to apply it to the affected area (my scalp) and leave it in. Am I supposed to let it sit then wash it out? OR am I supposed to apply and just leave it in? I am supposed to use it twice daily for two weeks....A girl needs to wash her hair!!

Hey just wanted to update you like I promised. I ended up never using the Clobetasol Foam. Instead I went on the internet to find out what could be causing me to have the dermatitis. It turns out that dermatitis can be caused if you have an allergy to nickel (like in jewelry) I HAVE that allergy. My ears always get infected when I wear earrings that nickel in them. I stopped wearing earrings altogether. Slowly but surely the dermatitis has cleared up. Hurray!!! :-)

Hello,
Wash your hands before using Clobetasol Foam. If your fingers are warm, rinse them in cold water and dry before you apply Clobetasol Foam. Now, squirt it directly onto the affected area. Do not squirt the medicine directly into the hand because it will start to melt immediately upon touching warm skin. Then leave it as such and apply again as directed in the evening. You don’t have to wash your hair everytime after applying the foam but you have to leave it as such.
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
