Angela:
To be honest, I not sure what the "redness " you describe represents. I doubt very much that it is either genetic or has anything to do with the dark circles which you have had for a long time. It may be something as common and ordinary as seborrheic dermatitis.
My suggestion in that you try hydrocortisone cream 1 percent, which is available over-the-counter. Use it twice a day for a week. If it doesn't clear you up, I suggest you see a physician.
Good luck.

I just want to know if you could tell me what a sebacious cyst is.
It's a round bump with dead skin cells in it. Benign, no problem. Remove it only if it bothers you.

What medication can be used for psoriasas? I have had it on my elbows now for 5 years. Occasionally I get it near eye area. Have tried cortozone but it does not help. Has their been any new medicine on the market that will clear it up.
for Shirley Carroll, comment of 1/28/2000: ask your Dr. about Diprolene or Fluocinonide Cream. I've had psoriasis for years, these give welcome relief.
I have it on both of my elbows, on the left side of my upper torso, on my knees, and in my scalp. Would should I do to help it stop itching?
