your welcome! dont let peeps freak you bout the worms the doc told me worms has a perfect definete circle and eczema although round is not perfect circle.
thank you. the first thought that went through my head was that i had worms too.. then i got to looking stuff up on the internet. It probably doesnt help the fact that I have GAD. So that really freaked me out. I guess i will try to stop worrying, and use more lotion and try to take cooler showers. thats going to be so hard though!!!
Every1 is right i was diagnosed w/eczema too when i was 17 and mine does not itch or at least not very much and i was like you i freaked some1 told me i had worms so i went to the doc and thats what they said. i have a hard time w/the showers too but i use Eucerin lotion and it works really good for me. its been bad w/the winter but now w/summer coming its really clearing up.
You don't need to buy the prescription version. You could try over the counter 1% ointment from Walmart. This may help and save a lot of money. Don't use to much, use only on the problem areas.
The hot showers dries out your skin which contributes to the problem.
Maybe once a week or a hot bath would be better. People tend to use much hotter water in the shower. You could also add aveno to the bath water which will also help.
he did prescribe me cortisone, but I havent been able to get it filled yet.. kinda broke at the moment. He didnt however tell me about the showers.. i dont use soap.. i hate soap. I use body wash. the cool showers though, i might not be able to do.. its really hard to give up the nice hot relaxing showers! Thanks.. you have eased my mind..
Sorry
Your rash actually does sound like eczema. I believe it's called discoid eczema. Round coin sized red rashes that may or may not itch.
definitely not cancer. Did he give you a prescription for cortisone. He should have also told you to get short cool showers and use body wash not soap. Then moisturize!!
I have been to four dermatologists and although they don't agree two said I have eczema.
My rash doesn't itch doesn't look dry and flaky and doesn't respond to any medication they gave me. My rash has been bothering me for nine months. Just red irritated skin that hurts when rubbed or stretched. The skin isn't always red and never at night when I am laying down.
I am going to see a real dermatologist in April. This time I am loaded with photo's and tons of information. Because every time I have an appointment it looks normal.
