Thanks for the posting. Wondering the likelihood of happening to both eyelids. I read about eyelid cancer and hope it is not that. Just getting a squamacell cancer treated on my leg and hope this has nothing to do with that. The dermatologist had no clue. Thanks again.

It seems like you could be having a stye.A stye or hordeolum is an infection of the sebaceous glands at the base of the eyelashes. While they produce no lasting damage, styes can be quite painful.
The first signs of a stye are tenderness, pain and redness in the affected area.
While most styes will drain on their own, this process can be accelerated by the application of a hot or warm compress.
They usually resolve by themselves.
