single round rash on lower buttocks

I fist noticed a bump on my lower buttocks about the size of a mosquito bite  i just thought it was that and ignored it.
after a couple of days it turned into this crater looking thing

it was the size of a dime at first its round and itchy and kinda scabby now. its been three more days and now its about the size of a nickel.
I am really concerned because i have searched this on google and it keeps talking about herpes simplex.

i will try to post a picture please help i havent had the time to go see my doctor.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms the possibility of ringworm needs to be ruled out. It presents as red, raised itchy areas and sometimes in the form of rings with central clearing. The other possibility is of nummular dermatitis which is a sort of eczema. Until and unless it is confirmed that it is a fungal infection, you should not use topical and oral antifungals. I suggest you to consult a dermatologist and get KOH examination of the skin scrapings done.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
