Folliculitis

Hello, I was told around late September that, after a biopsy and several different treatments that isn't work that I had folliculitis with yeast. I was wondering how long should it take to get rid of this rash as it still remains to this day but it is certainly not as bad as it once was. Also I have been dealing with flaky white skin in my penis when erect?  What could cause this?  Also, when I get a cut or anything it doesn't seem to completely heal, there is always a scar or mark still there which before they would always heal normally. The folliculitis is usually small bumps but occasionally there will e bigger ones that hurt a little but not as much that appear one at a time a week or two apart, is that normal?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
For folliculitis with fungal causes, antifungal agents such as ketoconazole or ciclopirox are sometimes helpful. Apart from that you need topical and oral antibiotics, antihistamines, oral steroids and topical tretinoin. The skin condition on the penis can be due to eczema or dermatitis skin.

My sincere advice is to get it examined from a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
