Fungus in scalp and pregnant

I have a fungus in my head and I've been using prescription medicated shampoo and topical solution, I just found out I'm 4 weeks prego. Should I stop using this shampoo and topical solution? I've tried all kinds of over the counter shampoos and nothing worked for me before I went to a Dermatologist. Any suggestions on something that is safe for me being prego?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Unfortunately for the woman who is pregnant, there are some concerns about the safety of antifungal medications when it comes to their use during pregnancy. Tinea capitis is treated during pregnancy with Nizoral shampoo or with a selenium sulfide shampoo. Clotrimazole or miconazole is also recommended topically for pregnant or breast-feeding women.

However any form of treatment should be followed after medical supervision.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations, and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
