I m 25 years old and I live in Maldives but I am a Pakistani national,The problem is that I have got generalized itching since 1 week,I dont understand why.It started when I woke up early morning I had itching in the area of the waist where I wear my pyjamas then gradually it started in the whole body and I started scratching as if I have gone crazy,it continued the whole day,I took tab Avil(antihistamine)but it didnt stop,it only got releived for some time when I took bath with cold water, second day I noticed that with itching there are some raised papules very small all over my back and the itching still increasing,I again took Tab Avil but with no response. The second day I was so distressed that I literally took off my clothes and scratched the whole body but the itching didint releive. One thing I have noticed that when I m busy working I dontfeel so much itchy but when I am free I feel so much itchy,It is still there for 1 week but its intensity have decreased a little bit,I am not thinking about it but when thinking I get crazy and scratch it all,Please help me what should I do

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Such an itchy skin without any rash can be due to dry skin, allergic reaction, viral infection, scabies, body lice etc. You can apply an anti-itch cream or lotion to the affected area. Oral antihistamine, such as Benadryl can also be used. Covering the affected area with bandages and dressings can help protect the skin and prevent scratching. You should choose mild soaps without dyes or perfumes and use a mild, unscented laundry detergent when washing clothes, towels and bedding.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
