Molluscum are not warts, they are caused by the pox virus, not human papilloma virus. That's what my derm said and I've also read it on the internet.
I'll bet your doctor froze something called pearly papules off your penis. Those are normal and are supposed to be there. they show up near the head, on the underside. Look on the internet, you'll se pics.
Yes, molluscum are a type of wart. At first they look like pimples, and then they change and get more wart like looking. Please be careful. I got molluscum, not certain how, and have had them for months. Please read my other posts on this site. I think I had a few and thought they were stubborn pimples that just weren't going away. Then I had a dermatologist look at two on my leg and she told me they were molluscum, but didn't seem too concerned about it...what a mistake that was my NOT asking more about them (my GYN sees a lot of them)...seven months later, and several types of treatments, cryo, acid, ointment, and I am still getting them. I wish you luck.
These are tough to answer with certainly, especially since I haven't examined you.
1. It is not likely that an experienced dermatologist would mistake mollusca for genital warts. When you freeze a molluscum, you can see a small indentation in the center that you can't see with warts. Also, it is common to get bumps near the head of the penis, and uncommon to get warts there. This is a generality, not a rule, however.
2. When it comes to actual warts, it is not certain that they are noncontagious even if they're removed. It is impossible to quantify the risk of transmission whether the warts are there are not. Nobody knows how much of a danger you are. On the other hand, nobody knows how much of a danger any if your partners is either, since many of them have no doubt been exposed to the wart virus, whether they know it or not.
3. I think all you can say is, "A doctor treated some bumps that he thought might be warts, but wasn't sure, and anyway they've never come back."
When you get right down to it, there's an irreducible level of risk. Your future partners will have to decide how much they are willing to assume.
Best.
