Hairloss from 360 waves

I am and African Canadian male.I was thinking of keeping my hair in 360 waves after I cut it and the alopecia is gone. I wanted to know if there are any adverse affects of excessive hair brushing. In order to get 360 waves, I would have to brush my entire head approximately 100 strokes in the direction of the grain nightly. I'm asking because I was unaware of the condition traction alopecia until I got it. I'm trying to make that mistake again. This is what the hair style looks like.
