are fried egg looking moles melenoma???? my doctor has seen it and says it is a benign neavi???? it has a slightly darker centre with a lighter edge it is oval and not raised and is about 3mm in dismeter

Hello and thankyou. I worry as I am fair skinned and have red hair, I have been burnt a few times aswell, I have a gp who is a skin specialist who has done a full body check and says all is ok. How often should I get him to check me?? And also am I going to get skin cancer because of my hair coloring and past burning? Thanks

From the size and appearance it looks like a benign mole only. Melanomas are usually >6 mm in size,with irregular borders ,asymmetrical and dark in color. If you notice changes in the mole's/mark’s color, height, size or shape, you should have a dermatologist evaluate it. You also should have it checked if it bleeds, oozes, itches, appear scaly, or become tender or painful. Otherwise it should be left as such.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
