Herpes or not?

Hey, can anyone help me? I had 1 red bump in my pubic hair region. Does herpes sore appear as 1 red bump? That happened quite long ago, around 1 or 2 years so I can't really rmb what's the symptoms, I think it was slightly painful too. If it's herpes, will the sore come back agn? >.< I'm really really worried tho my ex-bf said he doesn't have herpes.We only had oral with each other before, and both of us didn't do that with anyone else before that. Is herpes labialis the same as the genital herpes? Cuz I'm juz diagnosed with that instead of the genital one.  Omg I'm really scared and paranoid! Reply soon thanks!

Herpes labialis is caused by herpes simplex 1( HSV1) and genital herpes by HSV2 but there is no hard and fixed rule as sometimes sores due to HSV 1 can be found on genitalia also. From the symptoms that you have mentioned, it sound like a cyst or some benign growth rather that herpetic sore which scabs and crusts over after blistering.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
