Pigmentation for years

Hello,

I'm 24 female with horrible pigmentation.

http://www.skin-whitening-product.com/images/skintones.jpg

I have a fair skin according to the previous chart. though I'm not Asian.

But after puberty I have like 4 different tones in my body!

Face and neck: grey tan
Decollete: pale white
Stomach and back: yellow olive/tan
Legs and arms: pale white

I barely expose my self to the sun. Also have noticed when I shave my eyebrows (every 3 months) I can see extreme white skin color and its very noticeable since my face is grey tan.

I've been using lightening creams through my dermatologist for my face and neck (first used hydroquinone but wasn't effective and now switched me to a more safer product about 2 weeks ago) twice a day.

and for the body I have been using a body moisturizer twice a day which contain acids for about 3-4 months. and I haven't noticed any change specially in the stomach area and back.

I'm thinking its a problem from inside the body, and not what my skin is exposed to!

I did blood tests everything is normal except the part about the iron storage in my body was very low which caused black circles around the eyes.

Help, my body looks like a colored canvas

Thank you doctor,

When you say oral vitamin A you mean bet carotene pills? and how many mg a day? I'm on vacation for a couple of months and can't see a doctor at the moment.

And it will not give me a yellowish tone?

Hello,
Vitamin A has been thought to even out the skin as it has the ability to treat blotchy skin resulting from slight discolorations in the pigment. Take oral vitamin A tablets only under a doctor’s guidance and instead use a combination of alpha and beta hydroxy acids (including glycolic acid), vitamin A, vitamin C, and other ingredients to exfoliate the skin.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Thank you for your reply doctor.

As I previously mentioned I have visited the doctor and the diagnose was hyper pigmentation.

Along the creams I'm using I take stresstabs with zinc.

I don't know how and will this problem end. It uncomfortable to have uneven skin tone. I don't know when am I supposed to see results of those creams I'm using.

Also doctor I've read that vitamin A is good for skin discoloration. I just bought a beta carotene pills (9.2 mg per pill, one pill a day)
But now I'm worried that it will make my skin darker!
Should I take them?

Hello,
For such discoloration, the possibilities of pityriasis versicolor of arms and trunk, acanthosis nigricans, melasma face and hyperpigmentation of the skin needs to be ruled out. Please get it examined from a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis. Biopsy skin may be needed to confirm the diagnosis.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
