What are these itchy, red bumps?

A few weeks ago, I picked a small black scab off of my left shoulder.  The scab looked like I had scratched a mole off or something like that.  A day later, the area became raised and itchy.  I scratched it, and since then, the entire area is red and raised but no longer itchy.  The odd thing is now I have 5 red, itchy bumps in the shape of a half circle next to this red area.  I have tried oral Benadryl, Benadryl cream, hydrocortisone cream, bug bite meds., and antibiotic cream and nothing is going away.  I have a picture.  Thank you!
