I have a question about the healing of wounds/scars

Hi, I was just wondering about something, and I hope you can help me.

About half a year ago I had surgery, which left me with some pretty big wounds. They healed by the book, left some very visible and diverse scars though. Some are dark and elevated, others very light and almost not visible. Ofcourse, I know, healing takes time, so they might go trough their own process in their own time.
Now I have a kitten, who likes to climb my arms and legs. The little scratches that she makes seem to heal pretty fast and without much scarring. In my opinion they heal faster en better then before the surgery.. This made me wonder: is it possible for a human body to learn from healing big wounds, and with this experience improve the healing process for future wounds? Or is it maybe just me who got used to big slow healing wounds..

Thanks in advance for reading!

Regards,

Stephan

I'm not really sure about the body learning to heal small wounds faster after dealing with a large wound as I don't know that much about it, but I know that what causes scars to heal is a combination of genetics and the cause of the scar in the first place (size of the cut, etc).
