I have dry patches on my forearms.

Hello! I have these weird dry patches on my forearms. I had them a while back and put lotion on them and they went away. They are back but are more numerous. I do have problems on have dry skin on my face and scalp. They are not red but only in a coupe of places and some of them are lighter than my skin color. My dad has psoriasis. I'm just wondering if I should go to the doctor or if there is something I could do without going to the doctor.
