I used Donnel Lightening gel (ingredients: Distilled water, plant cellulose, castor oil, methyl glycol, azelaic acid, kojic acid, glycolic acid polymer, lactic acid polymer, ethyl hydroxide, ascorbic acid, betacarotene, spin trap, lemon extract.) on areas of facial melasma (from bcp); there are now some white spots in places on my face that the gel obviously really worked; it so patchy and inconsistent now, how can I fix this? And are these areas of hypopigmentation permanently white or without pigment forever, or if I got back in the sun will my melanocytes be able to work again? I also use tretinoin 0.05% occasionally to help the skin peel and get rid of the areas that the Donnel lightening gel "burns" off. I only used Donnel about once a week for just a few wks. I wear spf 55 daily. Help me please!
