Hi Vanessa,

Thank you so much for your advice, I am using " Burt's Bees Hand Soap Citrus & Ginger Root "  to clean my whole body and nowadys my penis gets sweaty as usual but white liquid does not stick over it and I am not feeling itching too.

Red Dots are not that dark now but they are not vanishing it completely, please help me in removing those too (suggest any cream).

Do u still think that I sould use this "Cetaphil Antibacterial Gentle Cleansing Bar", kindly suggest, I'll be very grateful to you ???

Hi,

Using a mild and bland cleanser when  cleaning the area such as cetaphil will be able to help.Just avoid frequent washing as this may cause dryness and may further irritate the skin. You may do the cleansing when you take a bath.

As a general advice you may take note of the following points from
http://www.bashh.org/guidelines/2002/balanitis_0901b.pdf:

"General Advice
•Saline bathing - with a weak salt solution twice daily while symptoms persist
•Avoid soaps while inflammation present
•Advise about effect on condoms if creams are being applied."

At this point, the best persons to see is a urologist or a dermatologist. Balanitis is commonly caused by a fungal infection. In this case,a  topical antifungal medication may be used. However, there are other causes of balanitis.Your urologist will be able to guide you with this.A complete assesment will be able to point out the exact cause of your condition.

Here are suggested readings:

Hi Vanessa,

Thanks for replying. Following are your answer :-

No I am not circumcised and lookas like it is a "balanitis" but I don't know why this happened to me.

Now kindly suggest me some treatment right now I am in US. Please suggest me how long it'll take recover.

And what is your mean by "genital hygiene", please suggest me mild and bland soap,

Thanks

Hi,

I have some questions.

As this is related to your case, may I ask if you are circumcised?

Not all symptoms of skin conditions like rash, scaling, itchiness, pain or discharge are secondary to a sexually transmitted disease. In your case, this may be a condition called balanitis.

Balanitis is frequently caused by fungal infections.Bacterial infections may also cause balanitis. It is important to practice good genital hygiene. If you are not circumcised,it is necessary to wash not only the outside of the foreskin but also especially the area underneath.Use only a mild and bland soap in cleaning the area.
