Bumps under my armpit

Hello, I'm 17 years old. And I have been receiving bumps under my armpits for a very long time. And the pain varies on how big the bump is. If its a big one then it hurts when move my arm up and down. When its small its doesn't really hurt that much. But anytime I get one I squeeze them with two fingers and sometimes blood, puss, or a substance that looks like water, or even blood mixes with water. What should I do and also I get one bump under my breast and when I squeeze that its like acne comes out same thing with my other parts on my body. Please reply back soon

I have this under both my armpits, inner thighs and under both of my breasts. I've had it for about 6 years now. I've been diagnosed and it is something called hidradenitis supprutiva. Not much research has been done on it though. The ones I get under my armpit are the most painful. I've done my own research and have found that bactrin and zinc tend to help the flare ups happen less. I hope this helps!

Hello,
From the symptoms the possibilities of hidradenitis suppurativa needs to be ruled out. Hidradenitis suppurativa is a skin disease that affects areas bearing apocrine sweat glands and hair follicles; such as the underarms, groin and buttocks esp. in women.

Apply warm compresses on the lumps and keep the area clean. Topical antiseptic treatment and topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment is very useful. If still the lumps persist then specific treatment like antibiotics, vit A supplements, corticosteroid injections, isotretinoin, antiandrogens and sometimes excision and drainage ,laser therapy and radiotherapy are found useful. I feel that you should consult a dermatologist and discuss these options with him.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
