I've seen 4 dermatologist and no cure..:-(

Maybe you can figure it out..  On both arms, (upper back), i have tiny pimples. It's not a rash, it doesn't itch. It seems like they all rise where there is hair. When popped, a tiny ball of oil comes out. I've used steroid cream, they didn't work at all. The one thing I have used that worked a little is Clean and clear by J&J.  The main ingredient, Salicylic acid has bought some clear up, however not enough. Is there something else that you can suggest. Some thing my doctor can perscribe.   I've had this skin condition seen I was 12 :-(

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
You are describing keratosis pilaris, a hereditary condition which produces bumps of keratin protein in the hair openings of the upper arms and back.  You can smooth down the bumps if you apply an over-the-counter lotion containing ammonium lactate and exfoliate with a Buf Puf or loofah (ask your druggist.)  Your dermatologist can offer other therapies if you wish.  Or you can do what most people with this common condition do--just ignore it.  But don't pick or squeeze them--just makes the bumps worse and more noticeable.

Best.
