Jock Itch medications

by 30ishM, Mar 05, 2009 09:49PM
Dear Dr. Rockcliff,

I've read quite a few of your comments about people with jock itch, athlete's foot, fungal infections, sweaty scrotum, red scrotum syndrome, to name a few, and in one of your comments you advised a person to use Lamisil cream, Lotrimin cream/powder, nyastatin cream, or Zeasorb. My question is: Which is better or are they all the same? I had athletes's foot about 6 months ago, well I was diagnosed then, and I never knew what jock itch was until I saw some photos on the internet, and I think I have that now. Also, my scrotum is very sweaty & hot. I've been a sweaty person all my life, but I am noticing it a lot now. Another question: I read that jock itch usually DOESN'T affect the scrotum and penis. Is that true?

Thank you for your time and help:)
